Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune condition — lifelong, unpreventable, and often misunderstood. It’s different from Type 2, which is also complex and heavily influenced by genetics, not just lifestyle.

For those living with T1D, every day involves dozens of decisions just to stay safe: blood sugar checks, carb counts, insulin doses, and constant vigilance. There are no breaks — not during sleep, work, exercise or meals.

It’s exhausting. Mentally and emotionally. But it also builds courage, resilience, and quiet strength.

This post is a gentle reminder: if you know someone with Type 1, you’re looking at someone managing a full-time, invisible job — with grit and grace.

Let’s break the stigma. Understand the bravery of someone living with type 1 diabetes.
