About

Nic is a diabetes and obesity nurse practitioner , employed in diabetes since 2004 and is SCOPE credited in obesity management since 2022. She completed her Masters in Advanced Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) at the University of Melbourne and has been endorsed as a nurse practitioner since 2020.

She has completed courses in Health Coaching, Motivational Interviewing and the Flinders Model. Nic has completed AANP Intermediate certification in obesity management and completed a mentorship in obesity management through the Horizons Program.

Since 2004, Nic has worked in a broad range of areas in diabetes care. These include Community Health, acute inpatient services, rehabiliation, chemotherapy, dialysis, mental health aged residential care, palliative care, Telehealth and her own private practice

Appointments are focused on working with clients to develop self-management skills and knowledge to manage their diabetes and/or weight loss management including behavioural changes. She takes a holistic approach, working on motivation and confidence to achieve success in your diabetes and/or weight loss goals. You will find Nic a patient and compassionate practitioner. She enjoys working with clients and encourages a multidisciplinary approach to care. She appreciates and encourages two-way communication with your primary care practitioners.

On her days off, you will find Nic with her dogs not far away, enjoying her garden or the community garden, walks or creative pursuits including maintaining her Street Library at home. She enjoys a catch up at the local dog park, beach or cafe with family and friends.
